I wrote The Dragonriders as a tribute to Anne McCaffrey's The Dragonriders of Pern series, which was one of the first female-penned science fiction series, and also one of the first book series to blend science fiction and fantasy.

I was fortunate enough to have the piece recorded by one of the busiest film-scoring orchestras in the world, and then performed at prestigious Benaroya Hall, in Seattle, WA, USA on March 18th, 2012.
